Eric Alfaro (Cuba, 1991) is a Cuban figurative artist. He graduated from APAP (Provincial Academy of FINE Arts) Raúl Martínez of Morón (Ciego de Ávila, Cuba). He participated in several exhibitions and art fairs such as the "Copperfest" Arts Festival in North Miami, Florida, United States and the “Paratissima” Contemporary Art Fair in Torino, Italy. His artworks are both in private collections all over the world and in prestigious location such as Copperbridge Art Foundation, the company F&F Media Corp. and Lincoln Center Orchestra in New York.
Among the main subjects of his paintings are landscapes, in which the game of reflections is the protagonist; floral arrangements in vases of various shapes and charms; representations of fishes swimming in water; ethereal women's faces surrounded by flowers.
Stylistic figures of his painting are certainly his use of colour and his brushstrokes. The former appears sometimes dense, sometimes very light, all the while retaining all the artistic power of the work in its nuances. The latters, although generated in a quick gesture and created using various tools (such as spatulas, brushes of various sizes), are always accurate and never random. The result is a very material and realistic work, reminiscent of the impressionist style but with attention to the smallest details, without loss of definition.
