Sala Lieber is a Hungarian contemporary artist known for her vivid oil paintings that blend the opulence of Baroque and Rococo with modern sensibilities. Sala studied Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden and later at the Düsseldorf Art Academy, where she was named Meisterschülerin under the guidance of renowned painter Herbert Brandl.
Her artistic journey began with a fascination for the interplay between beauty, sensuality, and historical aesthetics. Drawing from the extravagant visual language of the Baroque, her work reinterprets classical forms through bold colors, playful compositions, and subtle irony.
Since her first solo exhibition in 2013, Sala has exhibited across Europe, gaining recognition for her distinctive approach that challenges traditional notions of femininity, power, and art history. Her paintings often evoke dreamlike worlds where past and present collide, inviting viewers to reflect on the ambiguity of desire, identity, and existence.
