Elvira Carrasco is an emerging artist on the international scene. She was born in 1990 in a small town in the province of Cuenca, Spain, she grew up in a rich artistic context and developed a great interest for art, training theoretically and practically, even as self-taught. She studied History of Art at the University of Valencia and she received a scholarship for the Sainty Gallery in London. In this period she bought her first camera, a decisive step for her career. In fact, from that moment she never stopped experimenting and reinventing new techniques, in order to find a proper and personal artistic expression. Among the experiments, what stands out is the act of painting her own face as a new form of communication, an innovative and revolutionary change of body art. Starting from 2016, with a first exhibition at the Contempop Gallery in New York, she participated at numerous solo shows and group exhibitions, mostly in the United States, in Spain, in France and in Italy. She also exposed at prestigious galleries such as the COVA Gallery in Eindhonven, the Mark Hachem Gallery in Paris, the Maika Sánchez Gallery in Valencia, the Star Gallery in Taiwán, the Syart Gallery in Sorrento, Sist'Art Gallery in Venice.
