Ulpiano Carrasco,
born in 1961 in Casas de Santa Cruz in Spain, is a well-known landscape painter
on the international scene. After his studies in Salamanca, he travelled and
started exhibiting all over the world, this influencing his subjects. However,
he remains faithful to the native territories of Manchuela, painting analytical
views of great expressive power, but not only. Always changing, Ulpiano
Carrasco's brush follows a transitional panorama, transforming reality into a
symbolic and increasingly personal landscape.
Between the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023 his artistic language changed
towards abstraction, creating a series of paintings where shapes gave way to
colour, becoming even more vivid, saturated, material.
Ulpiano has
exhibited both in Spain and abroad, among the other at the Gregorio Prieto
Foundation, in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Toledo, in the Gava Foundation
for the Arts in Barcelona and in the Spanish Engraving Museum in Marbella.
He works with important international galleries in Madrid,
Barcelona, Paris, New York, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taipei, Belgium,
London, Dubai, Beijing, Venice. He has been presented in numerous international
art fairs, such us Miami Art Basel, Art Palm Beach, Art Wynwood, Affordable Art
Fair Melbourne, Milan and Singapore, ACAS Art Fair in Hong Kong, Artexpo
Barcelona and New York.
