In St. Mark’s
Square, a crossroads of history, art, and culture,
Jisbar
— among the
most recognizable voices on the international art scene — arrives in Venice
with an exclusive exhibition presented by
Sist’Art Gallery
.
In dialogue
with the
Venice Biennale 2026
and its theme
I
n Minor Keys,
the artist presents
In Minor Keys – YET IN MAJOR
VIBRATIONS
: a visual reflection that transcends the contemplative
dimension to open into a sensory experience, interpreting art as a space of
connection, sound, and memory.
The “minor key”
dissolves into a new expressive grammar — intense and luminous — in which pop
and urban aesthetics are elevated into a refined and multilayered language. The
works, vibrant and distinctive, construct a dynamic visual universe where
energy and emotion are translated into gesture, rhythm, and materiality. Within
this perspective, the “minor key” evolves into a “major key of vibrations,”
shaping a bold and immediate visual language capable of generating a renewed
perceptual intensity.
The opening
reception, by
invitation only
, will take place on
Saturday, May 16
,
from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, at the historic venue of
Sist’Art
Gallery
in St. Mark’s
Square 135. In the following days, and by appointment, the exhibition will
continue in the former Waldensian Church — a space of strong architectural
identity, now reimagined as a venue for contemporary art — currently hosting
the exhibition of Canadian artist
Janet Bellotto
.
Restored in
2020, the former Waldensian Church has established itself as an ideal setting
for international exhibition projects, where the memory of the space meets a
refined and contemporary curatorial vision.
Conceived for a
select audience of collectors and
connoisseurs
, the event unfolds as a private
and immersive experience: an opportunity to engage directly with the artist and
experience art as gesture, presence, and vibration, within an atmosphere where sound,
image, and space merge in perfect balance.
