Jean-Baptiste Launay, better known as Jisbar, is a French urban artist born in 1989. His strong and recognizable pop-street style allowed him to spread his art worldwide. He now lives and works between Paris, Amsterdam and Lisbon, and he exhibits from 2008 in prestigious museums and galleries in Paris, San Francisco, Los Angeles, London, Venice, Lausanne, Singapore and Australia. He made some important collaborations with well-known brands such as Armani, BMW, Dj Snake, and he is brand ambassador for Watch Gshock. Being innovative and contemporary, he always launches himself in new projects. For example in 2020 he has been the first one in history who has launched a work of art into space, a Mona Lisa painting in honor of the 500th anniversary of Leonardo Da Vinci's death, and in 2021 he was the author of the first NFT sent in space and then sold for 20 Ether. His art reflects contemporary society based on consumerism. He uses the most famous icons of art, music, fashion, cinema, cartoons and sport and reinterprets them translating these subjects in his own world. In fact, you can observe his paintings again and again and every time you will discover something new, including what he defines "moments of life". These are personal memories that assume new meanings inside the works, thanks to this transparency the observer can completely immerse and identify himself in Jisbar's art.
