NEW COLLABORATION OF SIST'ART WITH THE CONCEPT STORE IN MILAN MO.1950

The excellent design of the Italian manufacturers Frag and Olivieri meets the art of Elvira and Jisbar.

The encounter between art and design is natural, yet not taken for granted. The Sist'Art gallery , based in Piazza San Marco in Venice, is the spokesperson for this partnership in the new spaces of Mo.1950 in Milan in Via Carducci 38 , exhibiting the works of contemporary artists Elvira and Jisbar .

A collaboration in the name of elegance and love for beauty that enhances both of these ancient forms of expression in a reciprocal exchange. On one hand, art, or absolute imagination, on the other, design, or creativity at the service of human life. Bruno Munari, artist and designer, wrote in this regard:

«The artist works with his imagination, while the designer uses his creativity. Fantasy is a faculty capable of images that may be unfeasible. Creativity is a productive capacity where imagination and reason are connected and the result is always achievable».

Like two sides of the same coin, imagination and creativity, follow common trajectories while conversing with their own autonomous and personal languages.

In the new Mo.1950 concept store in Milan, the excellent design of the Italian manufacturers Frag and Olivieri meets the art of Elvira and Jisbar, supported by Sist'art gallery in Venice. Architects, designers and individuals can therefore enrich their experience inside the shop by combining the choice of furnishings with a selection of works of art by young contemporary artists. Art marries design in the "creation of an experience of exploration and discovery by the customer through a plurality of suggestions and tailor-made solutions to satisfy different needs and enhance their choices" - as reported in the opening press release of the store via Carducci 38.

Elvira (1990, Spain) is an emerging artist of the international scene. In the spaces of Mo.1950 she is present with some of her most iconic works, namely portraits and photographic self-portraits of faces painted by herself. With this innovative research, the artist experiments with a contemporary reinterpretation of a pre-existing form of communication, such as the body art. Elvira collaborates with Sist'art gallery since 2020; she participated with a first exhibition at the Contempop Gallery in New York, and in other group and personal exhibitions in the United States, Spain and France. Her work is present in important collections worldwide. The works on display are: Vuela , Be My Star , Tsunami , Summum .

Jisbar (1989, France) is an internationally renowned artist of the French pop-street art scene. His direct and immediate language underlies a subtle and continuous research on the various codes and symbols of the contemporary, placing the most famous icons of history as protagonists of his works, but revised in a contemporary key. Mona Lisa, for example, is among the most recurring subjects of his paintings, at the point that one of these was even launched into the space in honor of the five hundredth anniversary of Leonardo Da Vinci's death in 2020. Jisbar has been collaborating with the Sist'art gallery since 2017. He exhibits in galleries and museums in San Francisco, Los Angeles, London, Venice, Lausanne, Singapore, Australia and Paris, and boasts collaborations with well-known brands such as Armani, BMW, Watch Gshock. His works are present in very prestigeous international collections. The works on display are: Luxe NYT Samo , Showtime Pearl , Captain Van Gogh , Warning Mona .

The works presented by Sist'Art gallery are an emblem of the collaboration between art and design. They offer the possibility of approaching contemporary art by collecting and by enriching the customized solutions of the design proposed by Mo.1950, that has an eye to other languages of present: from the enigmatic refinement of Elvira's faces to the ironic representation of the story of Jisbar. The range of works on display adapts to the different characters and situations of living, ideally following the same accent of stylistic elegance and rigorous technical knowledge that characterize the Frag and Olivieri signatures. Adding at the same time to the cleanliness and perfection of the lines a touch of emotion and unpredictability also capable of going outside the box, because you know, art is capable of exciting and surprising, in it you can get lost and find yourself, just like in Love.
